Jars of Clay
But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.  We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.   2 Corinthians 4:7-10.

It’s been a really stressful past few weeks.  I retired from the company where I have worked for the past 34 years.  It was a tough decision, but I decided it was time to move on.  I firmly believe you should work wherever your heart takes you.  So I am on to a new adventure, praying this will be a good move for me.  This is just one of several things going on in my life right now.
There are times we want God to fix all our problems -- right now!  We don't have the patience to wait!  Our burdens seem impossible to overcome.  We feel crushed by everything going on in life.
This is when we need to remember the Jars of Clay.  God has all powers, and by trusting in Him, we can accept that he will see us through our troubled times and show us the right path.  Just relax, stop worrying and don’t forget to breathe!  (That's what I keep telling myself!)
