Christmas Ornaments

I want you to know that I have had the best time making Christmas ornaments.  This is the first time I’ve ever attempted to make these.  It was so much fun!  Hancock Fabrics had most everything 1/2 price after Thanksgiving (yay!). I couldn’t resist - so here I sit making all kinds of Christmas ornaments!  You can probably tell these are made out of felt. My stitching didn’t look too wonderful on the first few, but I finally got the hang of it… I think.  The blanket stitch isn’t hard at all.  There are several YouTube videos to help you out.

 

   

 

 

 

Life has been somewhat stressful lately.  Trying to get through year-end at work and get my son through semester tests.  Crafts are a way to take your mind off all your stresses and just sit and play and have fun!  No number crunching or homework, just let your imagination go.  You can make whatever designs you want.  I've got some other ideas going through my mind for different looking Christmas ornaments too.  I think another trip to the fabric store may be in order!  If I was independently wealthy (which we all know I'm not) I would have my own fabric store.  Except I would probably want to use up all the fabric, and I wouldn't wait on the customers because I would be too busy sewing and playing - and then I would be broke and have to close. Oh well, a girl can always dream!
