Deviled
Eggs
I make these delicious deviled eggs every holiday
season. The spices add a wonderful
flavor. Try
them. I’m sure they will be a hit for
you too!
12-14
hard-boiled eggs
3-4
tablespoons mayonnaise
2
tablespoons sweet pickled relish
1
teaspoon dill
1
teaspoon curry powder
Salt
and pepper to taste
Paprika
Peal
hard-boiled eggs and cut eggs in half.
Separate the yolk from the egg white.
Place egg yolks in a bowl and mash with a fork. Add all ingredients above except paprika.
Stuff
each ½ egg white with the egg yolk mixture.
Place on a decorative plate and garnish with paprika.
I hope your Thanksgiving was full of good times and great memories!
This year, after lunch and before the football games started, we all got together in the living room and played games. Games are a good way to get the whole family interacting together. Pick a game that all ages can play. And to make it easier for everyone, you can play in teams. No matter how large or small your family may be, there's a game out there to suit your family.
Another Thanksgiving/Christmas tradition our family does is to gather in a circle and go around the room telling one thing we are thankful for. Sometimes we do this right before we say our prayer. I think this is also important for all ages - young and old - to stay focused on the goods things in life.
Holiday traditions can be started at any time - the idea is that you do start a tradition. And I promise you, as years go by, you may not remember what was served for dinner, but the special times you spend together will be what's remembered the most!
