Lily Fest
Nestled between two blocks of busy traffic, in the middle of the city, is a park – Civic League Park.  But what’s special about this park is a little piece of heaven located right off the side street.  It’s a wonderfully unique and beautiful display of water lilies.  In fact, it’s the largest International Waterlily Collection in the world – and it’s right here in San Angelo, TX!
And this past weekend was the Lily Fest.  It was a wonderful occasion to take time out to visit these magnificent waterlilies.  You can read more about it here: http://www.sanangelotexas.us/index.asp?Type=GALLERY&SEC=%7BBAB308B7-7C26-424C-AA44-6A257D925E6B%7D
And let me tell you, it was the perfect morning for a Lily Fest!  People seemed to be enjoying the cooler weather and soaking in the sunshine.  We leisurely strolled around to view all the huge colorful flowers in full bloom.  There were so many vibrant and rich colors.  It was just amazing!  You could see the bees making their way into the flower buds, and butterflies were fluttering around as if they were enjoying the day just as much!
Here are a few pictures I took from this event.  Hope you enjoy viewing them.
